Not a very big group but I do think it's the most fun we ever had! A nice break from pool/LAN/going to my house :)

We rode bikes (rollerbladed in peiwen's case), played cards, ate, and then went to the arcade where I played DDR for the first time (I'm horrible at it LOL).

When contacting me, tell me if you plan on going, which day you plan on coming down and whether you are going to stay over night. Thanks :)

Secondly, where and when is the chalet?
It will be from the 26-28 November. Check in on the 26th at 3.00pm, so try to arrive between 3.00pm to 4.00pm. Check out will be on the 28th, between 8.30am to 10.00am.
The chalet is in Aloha Changi, Changi Chalet M

Thirdly, how to get there?
There is a shuttle bus service available. It will leave Pasir Ris MRT at 3.15pm to Aloha Loyang, and the shuttle bus will then leave Aloha Loyang to Aloha Changi at 3.30pm. So once you get there, just find Chalet M.

What the chalet looks like, looks really underwhelming in this photo...

The single-storey chalet is fully furbished with a living room set with TV and games table; dining room; 4 air-conditioned bedrooms, furbished with beds (1 queen-sized and 6 single-sized), wardrobe, dresser, bedside table and wall fan; 1 toilet/bathroom with shower heater; 2 common toilets; BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.

Ehh, I'm still trying to figure out how to be a welfare quail. So, I'm going to try something out. Tuesday before fac outing, meet at city hall MRT at 11.30am. After that, we proceed to marina square and bowl. YAY!
Planned duration about 3 hours or so, ensuring that we have adequate time to get to the fac outing. If there aren't lanes, then its improvisation for the win. YAY! Unless someone can tell me how to book lanes in advance, because according to my preliminary research, I can't seem to do that.

So, brief synopsis. Tuesday, 11.30am meet at city hall MRT. Bowl from 12 to 3. Go for fac outing.

MAF was wonderful. <3 to council for putting in so much hard work. it's sad that people can't spare a few hours to come down, even though the council put so much effort into preparing for it. almost every day of the holidays, from early in the morning to night, doing everything from creative work to boring saigang. (and that's the same council that has to take the promos together with us, most of them hardly have had the time to start mugging yet). the least we could do is to come down and appreciate what they have put up.

life in college is only 2 years, and MAF is the biggest event on the calendar. it's really a waste to not go for something like this.

if everyone thinks for himself,
no one else is going, why should I go?
in the end they don't go.

so actually lots of people attended, but the whole class was never together at any point.

we should be like our senior class 06s63. they got almost the whole class together, and they stuck together. maf for them was like a class outing, not one where people attend individually and act not as a class but as strangers and visitors.

lots of time has passed since the beginning of the year, when everything felt like a fresh start. cliques formed, people formed opinions about each other, and the optimism that was so present at the beginning has reduced to a bland cynicism.

I really hate to see the class anything less than it could be; 25 people

Army open house highlights:

- Took only 50 minutes to get there from BTP, all in air-con comfort in nearly-empty buses. So much for Jurong being far away...

- Free. The only money we spent was to buy canned drinks. We even came back with goodies.

- Firing at the range. I got a sniper rifle (2 shots only, but shooting down a sniper scope is fun), Shuyuan got a GPMG (general-purpose machine gun, the recoil was so big he couldn't aim it so he just went trigger happy on it), Jeremy got a SAW (even he can't explain clearly what he did), and Jiada got a SOUNDLESS RECOILLESS anti-tank weapon that just made a light click when he pulled the trigger

- Laser tag with actual SAR21 rifles loaded with blanks. Jiada TKed Jeremy. Shuyuan got a high on firing shots just so he could hear the brass casings plink against the metal drum next to him.

- Military washing machine and dryer... WTF

- Pictures of RED CROSS!

- Night ride out on a 5-tonner truck. As can be seen from the videos, we got to see (but mostly hear) live firing out on the range. The one thing that made the whole trip most worthwhile.

Would you people who are free be interested in going to the Army Open House in Camp Pasir Lebar in Jurong? It should be quite fun, and I would have posted this earlier if I had known about it earlier.
Then again, I bet that most of you will read this after teacher's day anyway. If you did, that means that you are that much closer to the promos! It also probably means that you didn't go for the Army Open House and missed all the fun. So, please don't read this after teacher's day.
The previous paragraph is the reason why Mr. Alexander Ho thinks I don't take GP seriously when I do essay plans.

Ok, here's regarding the long-awaited legendary class outing.

National Day celebrations will be on the 8th of August. We'll be coming to school in casual red-and-white dress (which is convenient), and celebrations won't last beyond mid-morning.

You all can then come to my house (~10 minutes' walk from school) for lunch (Lingchen wants to order big buckets of KFC but there are nearby restaurants we can order from too like Westlake). It's big enough to hold a lot of people, and there's plenty to do (unlike the usual pool/LAN):

- Eat (order from KFC or nearby restaurants)
- Sit around and slack (air-con can be turned on)
- Play coms (3 coms total, you can bring your own if you have one)
- Play xbox360 (I only have 1 game and 1 controller, so bringing your own is recommended)
- Watch TV/movies
- Play table tennis
- Zham weights <-- look here Liye! there's a weights machine!
- Play with the infamous wombat toy =)

a lot of insane stuff happens when our maths tutor is not around. a rough account of yesterday's events (photos and maybe video will follow soon):

6f arrives at classroom
people begin smashing bridges with karate chops, crushing between tables, and various inventive methods
seng shoots everyone with part of a broken bridge
liye tries to bond seng. seng stands off for around half an hour
peiwen cheers liye on
weiguo exits the classroom for a short time
class reaches a sudden and overwhelming consensus to bond weiguo
weiguo reenters and sits down
seng and liye chase round to weiguo
seng says "truce", and they begin bonding weiguo
liye bonds seng and they roll around on the ground

and today's maths:
6f arrives at classroom
yize tries to get some sleep by lying on the table
shumin (devil in disguise) arrives and attempts to dissect yize with a razor-sharp knife
jiada tries to bond yize. they bang at the corner of the classroom for a while
peiwen wedgies yize while jiada is bonding him
yize and jiada somehow struggle their way to another corner
peiwen wedgies yize again
yize flees the tutorial room
lingchen lies down peacefully. peiwen sprays him with deodorant to make him turn over on his side and then wedgies him

and yeah I look forward to our next class outing (holidays must have at least one of course). I agree that cycling is more fun than pool/LAN, it needs a bit more planning beforehand though.

heyhey~ our blog is dead and even the tagboard is only half-alive..
so i've decided to blog to liven things up! XD

for physics PIP, my grp did quite well, considering tt we could've done much worse.. compared to other classes' grps, we're considered quite noob alr hahah.. my fren's bridge abit is <200g and they loaded like 26.5kg.. and the bridge din even crack O.o WTH. hahah.. none of us actually got full marks for the load:weight ratio part but the oral presentation part the tcher is damn slack la, give everyone grp like 7-8 marks when we probably deserve only like 6-7.. hahah he's trying to help us i guess.

btw, wad's the date set for JTS huh? is it on 01/06/07? i need to confirm cos i may be gg out with my frens on tt day. and when's the class outing? i suggest tt we go cycling this time instead of always indulging in ~~unhealthy~~ activities such as POOL. LOL. east coast is quite fun.. and it's nearer to my hse -smiles evilly- heh heh. we should go somewhere accessible to all of us and not let the FEW of us make the sacrifice everytime.. haha KBox is fun too though i dun think i'll sing much. if everyone's broke, i suggest playing cards instead! Lol ages since i last posted and doubt many people come here anyway. Haha first thing i noticed when i read this was shumin's comment about guys looking kiddy without ties, hope it wasn't directed at me =\ (sorry sensitive about this issue & the moaning bear, *sniff*) Ok fac outing was a success but can't say the same about today's CSM, it ~~sucks~~ was bad can, although i appluad those councillors who cheered with the exception of Eddie Lim Rong Han but let's not diverge here....

Ok had a class outing at BTP's pool centre, fine i admit i ~~suck like there's no tmr~~ am bad at playing pool since during the time between the last time i played and today's game, probably grew like 2cm (lol sorry if it isn't relevant, couldn't help it xD). Was pretty pathetic and almost lost hope on myself until lingchen picked me up, not literally of course in case u were wondering and when jd left, it seemed like he passed me some MoJo™. Kudos to both of them for that =p At least i improved in the end and did not miss as horribly as I had at the start so cheers to me. The picture that shumin took at the end was just a joke, me and lingchen are just ~~gay lovebirds~~ brothers so don't let your thoughts drift =\ Anyway have to thank shuyuan for organising this class outing, haven't had one in a darn long time(in which i grew 0.5cm, pardon me again). Pity ben didn't bring his wombat or it'll motivate me but i guess he's feeling emo like jeremy since he wanted to go bkt timah hill or sth, pray he doesn't get lost and eaten there =\

heyhey!! i've not blogged for many donkey yrs liao so here's a loooooooong post!! ok the most exciting events are the fac outing and class outing.. fac outing was fun! those who din go seriously dno wad they miss out on..

i reached the mrt stn and saw chensin straightaway, wearing long-sleeved collared white shirt and long black pants. the moment i saw him i was like 'OMG! abit i'm wearing a white short-sleeeved t-shirt with black short pants.. total opp of wad he was wearing!' then we went up the escalator and i saw a WHOLE grp of guys in formal wear.. i nearly faint of embarrassment by my own informal clothes la! hahah.. btw, you guys looke damn cute in your ties.. more mature. without them, you all look well, kiddy.. hahaha

peiwen and gavin din win the titles of fac princess and prince but they're sporty enuff, putting their all into the games, esp gavin's groans and moans which songjun termed 'M21' hahah.. a grp of 6f guys went to play a chengyu game. there's nothing i can say except that lingchen missed the first chengyu by a mile and liye is not a good actor.. heh heh..

class outing today! a grp of us (10) went for lunch at KAP and spend some time there playing cards and slacking. when it's time to go for the actual outing, we stood ard for ard 10 mins trying to compromise as to where we shld go. haha the idea was to get as many pple go as poss but then, siowkee only wanted bowling and i din wna, and i wanted pool she din want and if she dun go i'll leave too.. haha in the end, me compromised by gg to pool w/o siowkee..

at pool, jd as usual, showed off his prowess while the rest of our jaws hung open ahhahaha.. shuyuan was oso quite zai, with all his tyco shots.hahah yize was hopeless at first then after a crash course by jd, he finally gets it.. but bcos of one shot tt he missed, he's now officially a 'nu ren' (woman) haha YAY!

hc strings concert!

Hi everyone,

I'm sure you all have passed by the canteen and noticed the Strings poster and booth set up there. And you've heard the announcement and my playing in CT period. So, if you want to hear more of it(and a lot of better players too-we have a very strong intake this year), come to the HCSE(Hwa Chong String Ensemble) Concert on the 29th of May, 7.30pm at Victoria Concert Hall. Tickets are $10 only... rather cheap for the location and the acoustics that come along with it. AND our conductor is simply the best. He has almost no resistance. ^^

Oh, and my teacher will be playing a Vivaldi cello concerto. Guaranteed to own anyone on any instrument in our school. We're also playing Last Round by Golijov(don't even consider looking for a recording. It was composed in 1996. We'll sound better anyway=p)and the Serenade for Strings by Tchaikovsky.

So if you want to come, don't bother running all the way to the booth at the canteen to buy tickets. Just get them straight off me - it's much more convenient.

Jiayou for SYF, all those in performing arts groups! The high school side GGed so it falls to us to do better.

Hi all,
Please strive to keep 30th of April free, there will be a class outing after Sports Day. The following day is a holiday, and we'll have a large portion of the afternoon free. This is an extremely long range announcement that aims to ensure that the class outing will actually include the "class" this time round. I'm rambling because its late and I am still laughing about something stupid that happened in VBC, and I'm really tired and I'm staying up late and I'm repeating myself. The only important sentence in this whole chunk of text is the first sentence, so read it again.
Details will be worked out closer to the actual date.

Hwa Chong Track and Field Meet

100m Boys, 400m Boys, 100m Girls and 400m Girls are all on 05th April 2007 (Thursday). Lets all go get pwned together =). I can only remember that Ben's taking part in the 5km run, which is on the 23 April 2007 (Monday) if I am not wrong. If anyone else is taking part in other events and need to know the date/ time leave a message here, or simply wait til next Monday.

Btw, I made Michelle and Wei Hao team captains of the Girls/ Boys team respectively since you guys are in track. Hope there are no objections =X. Anyway it shouldn't be too troublesome since almost everyone will be kicked out in the heats xD.

3. For those who are not playing, other than getting your face painted, we'll be going around to cheer the teams on. For the first hour, we'll be in the hall watching table tennis and badminton. Second hour, we'll be watching vball/bball. Last hour we'll go watch floorball. ((: and we're supposed to CHEER. (:

As can be seen from the list, JTS would most likely be held on 1ST APRIL, since more people can make it on 1st APRIL. If this list is incorrectly, please update me asap ^^. Place and food to eat are still tentative at the moment to be finalised at a later date. However, the choices for JTS are more likely to be this two days. IF THERE ARE STRONG REJECTIONS FROM THE CLASS, WE CAN CHANGE THE DATE. so, feel free to reject if you feel that any of the two dates are not really suitable.

As for the seniors, there have been some communications with them. A representative from the elders stated that the date would most ideal to be within next week. However, we know that ideal law deviates from the real truth as assumptions are made. Thus these are the two dates which the elder confirmed with me, as for the seniors turning up, there are no confirmation as of the current moment yet.

As everyone knows, no students pricing for weekends. HURRAYY ._. alrighttt so the pricing would be roughly 16 dollars per person. Will confirm as soon as possible.

So any comments feel free to voice out. Will take into serious, i mean serious consideration the voices of 07S6F peeps. So spammers dun come and play play. With that i end my post here. Verify any uncertainties with me in skool please, physics equations are useless in this case. =)
